Turn your trip into an animated map video
Add the places you went. Mapae draws the route along the real roads, flies the camera from stop to stop like a documentary, and gives you a vertical video for Reels, TikTok and Shorts — made on your phone, in about a minute.

How it works
- Add your stopsSearch a city, a beach or a landmark — or paste a Google Maps directions link. Drag to reorder.
- Pick how you travelledCar, train, bus, boat, bike, on foot or by plane. Roads follow the real streets; flights arc across the globe.
- Save the filmChoose a look and a length, then save the MP4 to your phone and post it.
Made for the first seconds of a reel
A map intro tells your followers where the story happens before you show a single clip. Mapae's camera holds each leg as a calm shot and glides to the next stop, so the route reads at a glance — no frantic zooming, no chasing the car.
Every kind of trip
A weekend city break, a road trip along a coast, a flight across an ocean and a train through the Alps all work. Long trips are filmed on a 3D globe; short ones on a flat, clean map. Countries can light up as the trip enters them.
Looks that stay out of the way
Daylight, Midnight and Sorbet are clean, label-light maps made for video: only your places are named, so the route is the hero. Atlas, a vintage map, comes with Unlimited.
Questions
Is Mapae free?
Yes — 2 films free — no sign-up, no card (free films carry a small mapae mark and end on a short card). To remove the mark and make unlimited films: $4.99 for a 14-day trip pass (one payment, never renews), $6.99 a month, or $24 a year.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Mapae runs in the browser on iPhone, Android and desktop — Safari or Chrome, no app to install.
What do I get?
An MP4 video, 1080 × 1920 (9:16) at 30 fps, ready for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
Does the route follow real roads?
Yes. Car and bus legs follow the road network, walks follow footpaths and bike legs follow cycle routes. Flights are drawn as arcs; boats go straight across the water.
Can I add music?
The video is silent on purpose, so you can add your own sound in Instagram, TikTok or CapCut.
