Make a travel map video from your photos
Choose the pictures from your trip. Mapae reads where and when each one was taken — on your phone, nothing is uploaded — turns them into the stops of your route, in the order you were there, and shows them at their places in the film.

How it works
- Choose photos & videosTap “Make it from my photos & videos” and pick the pictures of your trip.
- Mapae finds the routePictures taken close together become one stop; the stops follow the time each picture was taken, and each place is named from the map.
- Save the filmYour pictures appear where you took them as the route draws itself. Save the MP4 and post it.
Your trip, in the order it happened
Mapae uses the location and time stored in each photo and video (JPEG, HEIC, MOV and MP4). A picture without a location still finds its place by the time it was taken, when other pictures from that moment have one.
Private by design
The pictures are read on your device. Only the places are looked up; no photo or video leaves your phone.
On iPhone
iPhone removes the location from pictures shared with a website unless you allow it: in the photo picker, tap Options at the top and turn on Location. Choosing the files with Browse (the Files app) keeps the location too.
Questions
Which files work?
Photos as JPEG or HEIC and videos as MOV or MP4 from any phone or camera that saves its location.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Mapae reads the location and time on your phone; your pictures never leave it.
Why does it say my photos have no location?
Your phone may have removed it when sharing. On iPhone, tap Options in the photo picker and turn on Location, then pick them again.
How many pictures can I pick?
Up to 300. Mapae groups them into up to 10 stops and shows a few of the best spread over each visit.
Is it free?
Yes — 2 films free — no sign-up, no card (free films carry a small mapae mark and end on a short card).
