Show your favourite spots as a map reel

Five cafés worth the walk, the viewpoints of a city, your corner of the neighbourhood: add the places, and Mapae numbers them, hops the camera from one to the next and ends on all of them on one map — no route line, just the spots.

How it works

  1. Add your spotsSearch each place — or pick the photos you took there and Mapae finds them.
  2. Choose “Spots”After your photos, tap Spots — or turn on “Spots, not a route” any time. The places get numbers instead of a line.
  3. Save the reel“5 spots in Lisbon” titles itself. Save the 9:16 MP4 and post it.

Made for the “places you need to know” post

Numbered spots read like a list your followers can save: Spot 1 of 5, Spot 2 of 5 — then the whole map at the end, so they know where everything is.

Your photos at each spot

Pick the photos you took at each place, and each one appears at its spot as the camera arrives — as a Polaroid, a bubble on the map, or full screen.

For towns, not just trips

Local creators, food accounts, cafés and shops, a day in your own city: a spots reel needs no journey, just the places that matter.

Questions

What's the difference to a route?

A route draws the way you travelled between places. Spots leave the line out: each place gets a number, the camera hops from one to the next, and the film ends on all of them.

Can I make it from my photos?

Yes. Pick the photos from the places — Mapae reads where each was taken on your phone (nothing is uploaded) — then choose Spots.

How many spots can I add?

Up to 12 in one film.

Is it free?

Yes — 2 films free — no sign-up, no card (free films carry a small mapae mark and end on a short card).

What do I get?

An MP4 video, 1080 × 1920 (9:16) at 30 fps, ready for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
